It's imperative to check your toilet before you purchase your bidet seat. Not only do you need to know if the bidet seat will fit your toilet, you need to know whether to purchase a round or elongated seat.
Elongated or Round?
To check if your toilet is elongated or round, go and grab a tape measure as you will need to take a few simple measurements.
With your tape measure, measure your toilet (in inches) according to the guide below.
A few notes to make sure of:
- Line A needs to be greater than 1.5" for any bidet seat to fit.
- The distance between bolt holes (Line B) must be between 5" - 7.5" for any bidet seat to fit.
- Elongated seats have a distance of over 18" from the bolt holes to the front of the toilet rim (Line C). Round toilets have a distance of less than 17.5".
